Melbourne Park & Olympic Park

Melbourne Park & Olympic Park

Melbourne Park and Olympic Park host an extensive range of events such as international tennis, soccer, rugby union, rugby league, athletics and cycling, dirt bike races, ice skating, music concerts and family shows.

Historically, Melbourne Park has deep roots in local sport. In the late 1800s, part of the site was leased to William Henry Gosch as a paddock for his horses. Today, Gosch's Paddock continues to be used by elite sporting teams for training while also offering a recreation space for locals.

The Australian Open (tennis) has been held every year at Melbourne Park since 1988. As well as the tennis facilities and entertainment venues, Melbourne Park also houses administration offices for Melbourne & Olympic Parks, Tennis Australia and the Australian Open.

Located 5 minutes walk from Melbourne's CBD and separated from the Botanic Gardens by the Yarra River, Melbourne Park & Olympic Park comprises:

In addition to its six venues, Melbourne Park is home to several other facilities. AIA Centre and Olympic Park Oval houses training and administrative facilities for Collingwood Football Club.
