We end mad March with a huge week in Melbourne. Two of Melbourne's biggest annual events start this week, and you could not get two more different events.
Mum loves the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show which blossoms for its 19th year, attracting over 100,000 visitors to the Carlton Gardens and Royal Exhibition Building.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival's 28th year, known as one of the 3 big comedy festivals alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

Melbourne Flower Show
The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show returns for its 19th year with a burst of blooms from Wednesday, 26 March - Sunday, 30 March, 2014 at the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens.
The Flower Show is an affordable day out for the whole family with an array of attractions including the Sculpture Garden, Great Hall of Flowers and the Kids Under Cover Cubby House Challenge.
Chat with designers, florists, growers, suppliers and horticulturalists about everything from plant varieties and sustainable design features to healthy outdoor living.

Australian Rules Football
We love the way the AFL has joined in the spirit of the comedy festival by creating the worlds longest first round of games together with Tania (I take notes) Hird and Ricky (toot toot) Nixon giving us a few laughs to get the season up and running.
Round 2 kicks off on Thursday night with Richmond (Go Tiges) taking on Carlton at the G. Friday, Essendon plays Hawthorn at Etihad, Saturday, St Kilda plays GWS Giants and Sunday, two games, Melbourne vs West Coast Eagles at MCG + Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne at Etihad.
