The Farmyard in Balnarring provides 'hands on' experiences with a large variety of friendly farm animals to feed and cuddle.

You will be amazed at the variety and quantity of animals residing on the farm. Visitors can feed the animals and often there is a baby animal requiring a bottle.
We also offer a special education program for schools and kindergartens.

Children love having a ride on one of the farm ponies ($2), while the adults can join the children for a free hayride. There are undercover areas, indoor and outdoor picnic areas, free cuppa and gas BBQ (BYO food) and a small playground.

In addition to farm animals there are also wallabies, emus and a dingo. Gather your family and friends and come to the farm for 'A Farmtastic Day Out!'

Haemolytic Uremic Syndrome

A little girl died from an infection linked to farmyard animals after the three-year-old visited Rain, Hayne and Shine Children’s Farm in July 2026, where she contracted haemolytic uremic syndrome which can be spread through animal faeces.

The health department investigated the farm and ordered hand washers be installed at the farm.

Wash your hands at this and every farm that has farm animals.

School Holidays

Cow milking daily at 10.30am & 2.30pm. Come and have a go at milking Pirate or Panda our friendly farm cows.

Following the morning milking we will be separating the milk and cream, churning cream to butter and grinding wheat to flour, all using the old fashioned farm equipment once common on dairy farms. Then we use some modern technology to bake some bread. The fresh bread and butter will be ready for tasting at 12noon.

Also all the usual friendly farm animals available to pat and feed. Ponies to ride ($2 & $5 options). An indoor patting area so even if it is raining you can enjoy the animals, a free hayride, free cuppas and free gas BBQs. Indoor and outdoor picnic areas.
