Set in the stunning grounds of a provincial 15-acre estate at Main Ridge, La Petanque is a charmingly rustic venue offering French cuisine.
Behind the venture are owner Philippe Marquet and chef Simon Buckley, who successfully bring the tastes of southern France to your table, via a jaunt through Italy and Spain.
Think dishes such as the Mickelham duck breast with roasted black fig, fennel, Shoreham honey and star anise jus. While you await your meal, or for an after-dinner treat, there is even a petanque pitch outside.
