Melbourne Moon Fest Market will take over the riverside at World Trade Centre Melbourne on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, running from 12pm to 5pm each day.

The free, all-ages market celebrates through food, craft and contemporary interpretations of traditional activities.

Around 45 stalls will feature local artists, designers, makers and creative businesses, with handmade goods, original artworks and festive items among the products on offer.

Asian street food, snacks and drinks will also be available across the weekend, giving visitors the option to eat while exploring the market and its riverside setting.

Traditional crafts and creative workshops

Hands-on workshops form a substantial part of the program. Activities include traditional flower lantern making, mosaic coaster making, Chinese zodiac charms, lacquer fan painting, traditional hairpins and brocade fan mirrors.

Other sessions explore Song-style pearl art, mother-of-pearl jewellery and Song brocade wind chimes. A stop-motion workshop on Sunday afternoon will introduce participants to modelling with plasticine and creating original characters.

While admission to Melbourne Moon Fest Market is free and no general booking is required, selected workshops are ticketed. A limited number of free lantern-making places are also expected to be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
