The rustic, no-nonsense menu includes a north-side pub staple - chicken parmagiana - ditching the standard recipe for a classy terracotta bake of char-grilled thigh, jamon, slow-roasted tomato and parmesan.
Choose from seasonal produce, free range and organic fare, and try a drop from our boutique wine list (focused on locally produced and small-owner growers) or one of a large selection of local and international beers. House-made pickles, preserves and local cheeses are served up peasant-style, alongside slow-cooked Sunday roasts cooked to juicy perfection in traditional cast iron pots.
Open-plan kitchen dining
Away from the bustling main bar, grab a candle-lit table in the kitchen dining room. With a front-row view of a working kitchen, you can pick up some real-world know-how on fresh, seasonal food and its preparation without lifting a finger (or the TV remote).
Atrium
Our bluestone atrium offers many of the benefits of outdoor dining, without the weather. Perch amongst the greenery beneath the glass ceiling, or pull up a church pew in the corner for a quiet meal - lunch or dinner.
Private Underground Bar and Dining Room
Legend has it that the Collingwood Football Club was founded in this underground cavern. Today it's a semi-secret hideaway for private celebrations, featuring a full bar and a banquet table seating up to 28 guests. For parties, this ship's galley space can host 50 to 70 people for stand-up drinks, with DJ decks, a PA and anything else you might need to party like a pirate. (Or a magpie, for that matter.)
