The Knights Who Say Ni Return as Spamalot Gallops Back to Australia
Drew Anthony Creative brings one of Broadway's classic musicals to Melbourne and Sydney in a hilarious all-new reimagined production.
It's just a flesh wound!
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT, lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people - Oh, and did I mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls?
Bursting with unforgettable songs, absurd humour, and zany characters, this musical is a rollicking celebration of all things Monty Python. The Broadway production won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
With its laugh-out-loud moments and unforgettable anthem "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life," MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT is a gloriously entertaining journey that leaves audiences in stitches from start to finish.
MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT IS GALLOPING BACK INTO Australia, bringing all the hilarity of Monty Python and the Holy Grail to the stage in a musical comedy packed with laughs, outrageous characters and unforgettable songs.
For the first time in over a decade, Spamalot is returning to the Australian stage, produced by Drew Anthony Creative.
Monty Python's Spamalot originally premiered in Chicago on December 21, 2004, before officially opening on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre on March 17, 2005. The hit musical is currently embarking on a highly anticipated 2026 east-coast Australian tour.
Spamalot (also known as Monty Python's Spamalot: A New Musical (Lovingly) Ripped Off from the Motion Picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail).
A musical with music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, and lyrics and a book by Idle. Based on the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical offers a highly irreverent parody of Arthurian legend, with the title being a portmanteau of Spam and Camelot.
Monty Python's Spamalot started in Melbourne in November 2007 at Her Majesty's Theatre.
