Voices set to soar as mega group Pop Choir takes to the stage

One of Australia's largest mega choirs, Pop Choir, will soon be bringing a whole lot of joy to their first ever large-scale stage performance.

Around 350 members will be singing their hearts out at Pop Choir at the Palais: With a Little Help From Our Friends, on Saturday 25 November at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda.

The Melbourne-based community choir will be performing renditions of some of the most beloved pop songs by artists such as Cold Play, The Beatles, Take That, The Killers and James Blunt.

In addition, the choir will be performing their new original debut song ' Window with Smiles ' written by the band's co-founder Darryl Moulton, as well as the Radiohead classic Creep. Pop Choir's TikTok video of the group rehearsing Creep recently went viral racking up an astonishing 10 million views in just a few days.

Jemma Rix, musical theatre star of Frozen: The Musical and Wicked, will also be on stage to perform as a soloist and will also join in with the choir.

Pop Choir, which has been running for 10 years with weekly singing sessions in Moorabbin, Mordialloc, Oakleigh and Mornington, sports more then 700 members in total. Many members say joining the group has been life changing and has helped them get through some of their darkest times in life. The choir recently released Window with Smiles, in support of youth charity, The Lighthouse Foundation, to streaming platforms, along with a video clip. A documentary about the group is currently in the works.
