Melbourne Cup Day sits at the pinnacle of the Australian racing calendar and is the focal point of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. There's nothing like being there amongst the 100,000 plus crowd to experience the day that puts Australia firmly in the international sporting spotlight.
At 3pm on the first Tuesday in November, Australians stop for one of the world's most famous horse races - the Melbourne Cup.
