Newport Railway Museum | Open Hours & Tickets

We are open to the general public every Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm. During school holidays it is open both Saturdays AND Sundays from 12 noon to 5pm.

The Newport Railway Museum hosts an extraordinary collection of steam, diesel and electric trains as well as a host of other railway exhibits.

Join us at the Railway Museum during December for a delightful afternoon discovering Victoria's rich railway history.

You can conveniently book your tickets online here. The two hour session time is a suggested duration; you're welcome to stay longer if you wish.

Admission prices (for normal open days) are as follows:

Adults: $10
Children or concession holders: $5
Children under 4 years of age: free of charge
Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children): $25
