My Reno Rules is a brand-new renovation competition hosted by Chris Brown on Seven and 7plus.

Judges are Neale Whitaker from Block fame, Luxe Listing's Simon Cohen and interior stylist Julia Green.

In the series, two run-down homes have been transformed into high-end designer residences.

The twist, the winning team of renovators wins a $100,000 cash prize and the two renovated properties won by viewers.

The man behind the show, Adrian Portelli (LMCT+) won't be taking part of the show.

Both three-bedroom home on 604-square-metres: 54 & 56 Pinnacle Crescent, Bulleen.

How to enter the My Reno Rules draw

Australians can now enter for the chance to win a multi-million-dollar home or a $2 million cash prize, with billionaire entrepreneur Adrian Portelli officially opening entries for his latest property giveaway via his LMCT website.

The competition will see two winners drawn, with each person given the choice of claiming one of two newly renovated luxury homes in Melbourne's north-east suburb of Bulleen - or taking $2 million in tax-free cash instead.

Entries are available through the LMCT+ membership platform and close at 5pm on June 2, ahead of a 7pm live draw.

For hopeful entrants, the prize offers an alternative route to home ownership at a time when property affordability remains a major barrier for many Australians.

A designer home instead of an auction hammer

In the upcoming series My Reno Rules, two neighbouring run-down homes have been transformed into high-end designer residences. But instead of selling the properties to the highest bidder, they will be awarded to viewers.

TV host Chris Brown said the scale of the prize is designed to make the renovation journey more meaningful for audiences.

"It is an enormous, life-changing prize," Brown told Sunrise. "These are two Australians who are going to get a brand-new designer home."

Each of the two winners will ultimately choose between taking ownership of one of the completed properties or opting for the $2 million cash alternative.

Why the TV renovation model is shifting

For years, shows such as The Block have relied on dramatic auction results to determine success. But Portelli believes the traditional model leaves most viewers watching from the sidelines.

"On previous reno shows... unfortunately only about one per cent of the viewing audience has the capacity to buy those homes," Portelli said. "It's an awesome feeling to take viewers on that emotional journey through the build and then give them the opportunity to potentially win it."

By linking the renovation show to the LMCT+ membership model, the project bypasses the volatility of the auction market and gives viewers a chance to become participants rather than spectators.

The brutal three-minute rule

Winning, however, comes with one high-pressure catch. In a twist now synonymous with Portelli's competitions, winners must answer what organisers call "the call of a lifetime." If the phone rings and the winner misses it a three-minute timer begins.

Fail to return the call within 180 seconds, and the prize is immediately redrawn. The rule has become a hallmark of Portelli's giveaways, transforming the moment of the draw into a tense live event.

The judging panel behind the renovation

To ensure the finished homes meet luxury design standards, the show has assembled a panel of high-profile property experts.

Among them is Neale Whitaker, best known for his role on The Block, and co-host of Foxtel's Love It or List It Australia, has also enjoyed a successful publishing career that saw him at the helm of Aussie style bibles Belle and Vogue Living for more than a decade.

He will be joined by buyer's agent and View.com.au property expert Simon Cohen and interior stylist Julia Green, who will oversee the renovation process and judge the finished homes.

Together, the panel will help determine whether the transformed Bulleen properties live up to their luxury billing before one lucky entrant gets the keys.

Entries are available through the LMCT+ membership platform and close at 5pm on June 2, ahead of a 7pm live draw.
