Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025

Melbourne becomes comedy capital of the UNIVERSE as we take over the city with an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts.
The 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival turns 39 celebrating with its biggest festival, with more shows and venues than ever, becoming one of the world's largest and most respected comedy festivals.
Melbourne International Comedy Festival is Australia's largest ticketed cultural event, and one of the top three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Montreal's Just for Laughs and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
An annual event, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival literally takes over Australia's comedy capital, Melbourne, each autumn with an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts.
Arguably the crown jewel in Melbourne's entertainment calendar, the festival brings together both local and international performers for over 3 weeks of comedy, music, sly social commentary and most importantly of all.. laughs!

Resellers who inflate the price of major event tickets by more than 10 per cent face fines of between $800 and $480,000.Melbourne International Comedy Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' spirit, imagination and rich history of storytelling and humour that is an inspiration to all Australians.
