DinoFest Roars Back into Melbourne for Spring School Holidays

More dinosaurs, more prehistoric fun and two adorable new arrivals will stomp back into Melbourne this spring, when DinoFest returns to Nortons Park at Wantirna South following a sell-out season last year that proved a huge hit with local families.

DinoFest

The travelling DinoFest experience showcases at a different venue each school holidays and has now been enjoyed by thousands across Australia.

Bringing the prehistoric world to life, DinoFest features more than 30 massive, walking and interactive dinosaurs in an immersive and fun-filled outdoor setting especially designed for children aged nine and younger.

This spring, two baby robot dinosaurs will make their DinoFest debut. Smaller, speedier and seriously cute, the pint-sized newcomers are nimbler than their fully grown prehistoric counterparts, adding an extra dose of fun and excitement to the DinoFest adventure.

DinoFest Melbourne Spring 2026 will run throughout most days of the school holidays, from 19 September to 4 October (excluding 23, 28 and 29 September), with an additional weekend of shows from 10-11 October to meet demand.

With three 90-minute sessions daily at 10.30am, 1pm and 3pm, DinoFest features a spectacular line-up of prehistoric creatures, including a life-size, walking Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus and Ankylosaurus, along with a host of baby dinosaurs that young visitors can touch, pat and meet up close.

The Dino Trail stars a towering Brachiosaurus and, of course, a huge T. Rex. The 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter live show is another highlight; and DinoFest includes a range of educational and engaging kids' activities like a Dino Dig, themed arts and crafts and 'feel a fossil' with real dinosaur bones.

Families are strongly encouraged to pre-book online via Humanitix as DinoFest Melbourne Spring 2026 will sell out faster than a Velociraptor can run!

A single ticket costs AUD $29.50 per adult and $26.50 per child, with FREE entry for children younger than two years. Family and Group Admission tickets are available, with special discount fees for seniors and people with physical disability.
