About 8 am Tuesday 11th of march , While standing out the front of a worksite in Brighton I noticed 3 bright white objects quite high up but very visible against the grey cloud cover tracking along the sky together in a rather erratic path as I watched the objects seemed to spiral around each other for a time , all this taking place at high speed then they moved higher and disappeared through the cloud cover.

On Sunday the 9th March at about 9:30am over Hastings my girlfriend and I saw a bright orange thing in the sky like a star slowly moving! As we kept watching another one appeared.
Then we saw about 10 small white objects moving around close to the bright orange lights! We were trying to work out what it was, maybe people parachuting, as these objects looked extremely far away.
We kept watching and and 2 more large bright orange objects appeared. Then we noticed there were about 20 to 30 smaller white objects moving around. The 4 bright orange light also looked like small balls of fire at times. After watching for about 10 minutes we realised they were not parachuters!
I've seen plenty of parachuters! They kept circling around the orange lights, there were no sounds of planes! They were heading North to South East heading over Phillip Island! we witnessed this for about 20 minutes before they disappeared!

Approx 10-15 am south east direction in Berwick silver/white ball it was stationary, then moved upwards and appeared to float about like a balloon then it zig zagged left and right and took off in a straight line southerly and disappeared.
I was watching others plane in the area and this object appeared on about the same route as passenger jets approach Melbourne from the south east.
This is the second time I have seen this type of object in this area, I have seen other unexplained objects as well around here over the last 45 years of living here.

9:52pm 1st March - My wife and I were sitting outside facing north when we both saw two constant , bright lights close together move rapidly north east to north.
Visible for only a few seconds before appearing to fly behind a thin band of cloud. Unlike the constant air traffic we often see following the same route, they were moving much faster and did not reappear from behind the clouds. We see satellites , helicopters , airplanes all from this spot but nothing like this before.

Walking the dogs at 5 am on Wednesday and noticed two bright lights about 5000 feet above the city (I think above the zoo - I was on a hill in Toorak). The two lights shot white balls down to the earth .. There was no noise however as they released the balls white light lit the clouds. The balls hitting the earth descended extremely fast and in perfect straight lines .. Amazing but whats it about. Very shaken

Today at 11.15am over Beveridge Victoria, I watched a metallic shinny object move quickly over the sky at a great speed.... I noticed that there wasn't any wing spans or jet streams. I watched for several minutes when it darted into a cloud and never re-emerged. The weather was bright and sunny.
I'm hoping that someone else may have seen this?

Ok so I don't know what I saw or what it is, I've never been one for believing in these things but last night I seen something so weird that followed me for several hundred metres.
Now there could be a simple explanation but from what I seen and what happened I have none.
So I finished work last night around 11pm on Malvern rd in South Yarra. For some reason I looked at the sky and noticed these faint blue lights slingshotting themselves through the sky and then coming back and crossing over each other. My first thought was spotlights or something.. So I walked a further 200 metres and noticed that the lights were still there but had followed me and sat right above my head.
I had a really weird sensation run over my body became a little scared or something I don't know what the feeling was but I didn't want to be around it anymore.
So I jumped on a tram from chapel st and commercial rd in south Yarra and took it to the Alfred hospital and thought they would be gone if they were spotlights or a helicopter or whatever.
When I got off the tram the first thing I did was look up at the sky, yes they were there right above my head. I had no idea what was going on so I ran home like a little girl and went straight to bed.
I have video from when I first seen it to when I got off the tram and it was still there.
I don't know what it was but it sure gave me the chills.

Yesterday afternoon as I as sitting in my office in Brunswick on the first floor when my boss noticed something out the window facing south towards Brunswick West/Essendon area. It was a few kilometres away, low in the sky below the clouds. But it was still, not moving at all. At first we all got excited and went over to the window trying to identify what it was.
It was a slender silver or highly reflective object with a slight bulge in the middle. At first I thought it was a shiny smallish aeroplane (since Essendon Fields is not far away) but the fact it was not moving and did not have a fuselage I began to realise what I was seeing.
I could not for the life of me tell you what this thing was, but it was a wide, slim craft of some kind. I went to grab my phone and realising I would have to zoom in quite a bit to capture it I looked up towards the UFO and it was gone. I turned to my co-worker and asked where did it go? She replied that she didn't know, it just faded away.

Around 9am this morning, I was heading north down Looker Rd in Montmorency. I by chance looked off into the distant sky and caught a shiny metallic object that was catching the sun. It looked triangular in shape and was there for about 10 seconds and then it vanished.
Eyes to the skies...
I think I saw the same object that 'Shannon' saw. I was going home. Heading north on Beattie Street. Looker road is south Easterly to Beattie Street. I looked up to my right, quite high behind tall trees was a large very shiny silver object. Large. I said to my daughter (who couldn't see it) 'That's one very shiny airplane!' I kept driving and assumed once I hit a clearing in 10 m or so I'd have a clear view. It vanished.
Now, I'm an exceedly logical person but I definitely saw something non earth of origin. I feel it was an elongated object. But from Shannon's view maybe it had angles I couldn't see.
Fascinating stuff huh.

Then it vanished, I couldn't see it anymore, and I said to myself I've seen a UFO, but I didn't tell anyone at work because they may think I am crazy. I told my husband thought and later a friend and he said that they have been sightings in Narre Warren North.

On the 8th of Feb 2014 at 5am I looked into the sky north east from Sunbury I saw a very bright light coming towards the airport which looked like a plane coming in to land, but it stopped in one spot for half an hour & through the binoculars it looked like an umberella with a spray of lights like coral.
From 5.30 onwards it keeps climbing high into the sky still very bright. Every morning since then it comes to the same spot & keeps climbing, it is even showing through the smoke haze.
Curious to know what it might be.

Today at around 1330hrs, my daughter, fiance and I noticed a small bright light almost like distant star over Hampton east, it remained stationary for quiet while then very slowly it traveled in a westerly direction. We lost it in the chem trail however we spotted it again but this time more easterly right above our house not towards the bay, it remained in one spot for a few minutes then started moving slowly westerly again, there was no sound of jets nor did it flow with the wind so I dismissed a weather balloon.
8 January 2014
On the 5th Jan 2014, at 11.20 am, I was outside putting the washing on the line. I heard an aircraft passing over head, on glancing up I saw a Virgin aircraft on its north to south approach to Melbourne airport.
This is a common occurrence, as the aircraft follow the Lancefield Road on their left. I then noticed a very bright object about a hand span to the left of the aircraft. This object seemed to be higher up than the aircraft, and about half the width of the aircraft fuselage. The shape was similar to the photo taken late last year. (See below, a slightly squashed sphere). The object moved slower than the aircraft, which moved out of sight, quickly.
The object moved in a160 degree direction from magnetic north. My first thought was that the object was a silvered balloon, but at looking at the direction of the clouds, it was moving almost across the wind blown clouds. Wind at that time was WNW, at 37 km/hour.(Melboune weather radar). The object was very bright, as bright as Venus, with a slight darkening on the right hand side. Note the Sun was almost overhead, so the shadow should of been below the object, which was not the case.
My only other thought was that the object could of been a satellite, but it seemed to be too large, and moved a little to slow.
I do not know what this object was, but was very interesting.

Yet another sighting in Narre Warren South...would *love* to know what is causing these lights because three sightings in less than a year (& we've been living here for 7 years) is just getting beyond a joke - something entirely explainable has to be causing them surely??!
Last night (3 Jan) at just after midnight, my daughter & I had got out of the car & were standing in the driveway when we both clearly saw a large, solid, orange-gold light flying at speed away from Melbourne (ie in a west to east direction). The large solid light had a smaller light above (but attached) blinking red, white & blue alternately.
It was travelling faster than a plane seems to travel. And it appeared to be slightly lower than planes travel but was still quite high in the sky. There was no noise, so it wasn't a helicoptor.
After about 10 to 20 seconds of observing it...about the same time it had passed over the Berwick Springs lake & was roughly over the houses near Eden Rise, the large solid gold-orange light turned off, leaving only the small blinking light, & it continued to travel on it's course east. We continued watching it until it disappeared off in the horizon.

On the 24/11 /2013, my partner and myself were outside at about 4 in the afternoon. We live in the Dandenong Ranges, I had my camera outside which is not unusual as I am a photographer, my camera has a zoom lens 28 -105 mm. My partner noticed a UFO - appearing as a white dot, and also noticed it was stationary .. for sometime.
So he took some pics with my camera. I found it difficult to see due to my vision being short sighted, but then as we reviewed the images straight away, there it was !! I could see it on the LCD screen. I had to zoom in almost all the way, as it appears in all the photos that we took.
When I processed the images, I brought it into photoshop and analysed it myself. and it looks very interesting indeed .. so not only was it seen with the naked eye as a very tiny white dot, it also appears in the all photographs. Due to the high amount of sightings even more so recently, I thought I would also share this one. Both of us are stargazers, and even looking thorough a telescope, we know due to the rotation of the earth, how quickly stars move.

Tonight around 7:40pm we were driving along the esplanade in Altona Meadows. I could see an enormous object round with lights all around it, it was moving in the same direction as my car but picked up pace which had me more curious, it was then hovering so low that I then realized planes are not a disc, a UFO? woh!!
As I pointed it out to my daughter we stopped the car, she and I stared in amazement then it stopped mid air and was not much higher than the local refinary towers with lights on them.
I said to my daughter as it just stayed so still...."hang on, is that just the top of a tower?" Then it moved quickly to our right and tilted down where we then saw underneath, it was like a wheel with lights flashing all around it, it then went up and moved off fast to the left and headed inland, we tried following it in my 4 cylinder, but not successful as you can imagine.
There were people out and about but did anyone look up and see this? It was only a little higher than the refinery thingys that have lights on them for planes to see.
We were filled with adrenalin and goose bumps. Very cool!!

I can't believe I'm contacting you again (what is up with this area & weird sightings?!) & I'm hoping someone can give a logical reason for this particular sighting tonight. I was heading to the supermarket about 6pm or slightly before...traveling towards Glasscocks Rd, Narre Warren South.
I thought what I first assumed was an aircraft heading East to West above Glasscocks Rd...except I then realised the flashing lights weren't the same as on a normal aircraft. Instead of having multiple lights like a normal craft, this one had only one light & was pulsing three white flashes (these pulsed quite fast) & then one, slower red (from what looked like the same light source). It traveled in a straight line for a moment, then seemed to turn & travel towards the South briefly...then doubled back towards the North...before appearing to speed up & travel West in a straight line towards the city until I could no longer see it.
The craft was reasonably low...below the cloud cover & lower than a commercial craft but maybe around the height the police helicopter flies at. No discernible noise. And only one pulsing light that was changing colour...no other visible lights. By comparison, a commercial craft that I saw later in the evening (which is slightly odd as we're not under a flight path but there could be many reasons why it was flying this way), had obvious multiple lights, flashed only one colour & the strobing was much slower than the pulses on the craft I saw earlier, as well as emitting quite a bit of noise (obviously).
Just an aircraft perhaps...with weird lights? Or something else? The lights I saw don't seem to match aircraft regulations. *shrug*

I would like report evidence of a large ship that may have landed out the front of my house (a crop circle if you will).
Last Friday morning I went to check the mail and noticed many circular shapes in random places all over the road out the front of my house. There must have been over 30 and ranged over a distance of maybe 25 meters. My house was in the middle of this 25 meters. These circles seemed to be joined in rows, however these rows zig-zagged from left to right.
They looked perhaps like the marks landing pads would make if a ship landed slowly while loving forwards (eventually resting on these pads, making the marks). They looked like octopus rings, or sucker pads (white, and about 10cm thick with a overall diameter of maybe 50cm) On seeing these I felt a chill run though me straight away, an instant sensation of danger. I looked around for someone to comment on these marks with but found the whole road empty. This was strange as I live on a normally very busy street off Swan st, and this was around 11am on a regular business day. I inspected the circles for a moment but felt something odd was happening or had happened and felt I should get off the street.
On getting back inside I remembered the night before my cat acting very strange. He bit me (for the first time ever), was scowling, and rolling around on the floor flipping from side to side, then docile, then would flip out again. Very strange. Anyway, I believe that whatever happened outside my house last night either effected my, or my cat's psyche or mind. I have not seen the rings again.
On a side note however, I have noticed that each night there are 4 spotlights roaming the sky (I think coming from Rod Laver Arena, or possibly Docklands) If asked, I'm sure Melbourne city council would say that it is a promotion for a concert or something like that, but I think they might be deterrents for any more UFO ships that might be in our area.

I was driving along The Esplanade some time between 11.10 & 11.15pm & had just turned right on to Berwick Springs Promenade when I noticed two bright gold-orange lights that appeared to hover over trees on the far side of the lake. They were parallel to each other & were quite low in the sky. They never broke formation. As I drove towards Greaves Rd, they began to move slowly (roughly towards the Northwest).
After I'd turned right, through the Greaves Rd roundabout, I looked back up & realised there were now four lights in a large diamond formation traveling right to left over the road (away from the lake & towards the North or Northwest). They were not in the same position as the previous two lights (which I now could not see)...these ones were between Domain Dr & Mondarra Ave (although closer to Domain Dr) whereas the other two had been closer to the Greaves Rd/Berwick Springs Promenade roundabout (but were over the trees/lake, not over the road).
They were *very* low in the sky...about as far up as an airplane coming in to land when you're standing at the end of the runway. Higher than the trees but below the clouds. They traveled right over my car. I was trying to make out an outline of a structure or something that connected them as they were traveling in perfect formation - like they were all on the same object. However, I couldn't see anything, even though I could see the clouds behind them quite clearly.
There was no noise. The lights were smaller than the street lights but much larger than stars or aircraft lights (although given their height, I'm unsure how large they'd be up close). They were clearly lights as in objects...not streams of light being projected up, etc. They were gold-orange in colour, bright & did not pulse, blink, leave trails, etc. They moved with some speed but were not particularly fast. They kept perfect formation & there was no noise. The formation extended over the entire width of the road. I couldn't get over how *close* they were...they were *right there* above me.
As I was driving under them, I realised I needed to take a photo. I don't normally carry a cellphone but had my husband's with me (I was using it as a GPS). I decided to park on Mondarra Ave to take a photo but by the time I had pulled up & got out, the lights were gone. I had a clear view of the sky space in the direction they had been travelling but they had simply vanished.
The whole sighting took several minutes.
Whilst it was cloudy last night, these lights were below the clouds, not light being projected on to the clouds (which would rule out lasers, light beams, etc). They were discrete objects. I have astigmatism, so stars, etc, often look blurry to me...but these were in perfect focus because they were so close. Their direction of flight would rule out balloons, etc...& we are not under a flight path, so aircraft here is normally only the police helicopter...but there was no noise & they was far too low to be aircraft. I would also doubt toy planes - the formation was so perfect that I'd doubt four toys could be flown at speed & great distance to stay together like that. The formation was far too large to be emanating from one toy plane.
I'd be very interested to know if others had seen it. There were only a few cars on that stretch of road at the time. I'd also love to know what it was. I don't believe in wee green men in spaceships...but I simply can't explain these lights.

Then last night we captured on video and photo a UFO in the sky from my backyard in Croydon. This is about the 6th time in 7 months that we have witnessed the same one. It stayed around for about 35 minutes. It hovered, glided, moved sideways, up and down and then it would go a bit erratic and change colors. Ranging from white, blue, green, purple, pink.

I live in the western suburbs, Seddon. Tonight I have seen four double lights lined up in the sky from south to north, miles apart. The lowest was south and looked like two stars right next to each other emitting small rays of blue and red light. Red beams forming a triangle at the top from the middle of the two star like lights.
At first I thought it may have been a plane but watched it for long enough to realise it wasn't moving at all. Then, as I scanned the rest of the sky noticed three more double lights that where not moving and seemed slightly further away.
I am quite familiar with the night sky and stars in our solar system and these where definitely not anything that I've ever seen before.

I and 2 others saw 2 UFO's, from Croydon 3136, just before 9pm. It was a very still, windless evening. They travelled north to south at a fairly fast rate, faster than a plane but slower than a shooting star, about 3 mins apart, and at the height of a medium altitude plane. There was no sound at all.
They appeared to be travelling along the same trajectory. At first they glowed orange but then faded out to appear as a large round sphere shape which was harder to see in the night sky. It was definitely not a plane, helicopter, hot air balloon or satellite.

Witnessed tonight: 3 smaller 'lights' darting round one larger 'light' they appeared to be well above our atmosphere, the smaller ones appearing the size of a small star and the large one the size of a bright star.
I noticed what i thought was a satellite, but it wasn't blinking and its speed was varying and then it arced and was traveling randomly. two more appeared and traveling similar speeds and arcs.
I only estimated the distance away as a gut feeling, they only appeared as moving stars but the speed in which they accelerated across the sky was amazing. Im an intelligent man and i know what i witnessed.
no sound. I only noticed the large one when it started to move, it was there the whole time stationary, but was moving randomly but slowly. The three smaller ones were all operating within the visible skyline around the large one. they were moving rapidly closer and away (appearing, disappearing) speeds unbelievable, awesome to watch....
I was in Kallista (Dandenong ranges) facing northeast (towards the mountains/ high country) the larger light which was slowly drifting, was traveling in a west/ northwest direction until it (and the smaller three) disappeared over tree lines and out of sight. At the start, one of the lights was almost over head catching my attention as it made its way over to the larger light towards the NE. witnessed for about 6 minutes. As i said, if they weren't 'orbs' they appeared to be very high and moving at great speeds both laterally and horizontally.
The lights never flickered or pulsed, always a consistent brightness. The smaller lights never stopped moving either, just varied their speed. The large light started and stopped although was moving very slowly when it did.

We were in Prahran and it was heading south, we watched it for about 2-3 mins as we had a clear view. It looked as if was being controlled as it was flying fast and still dropped noticeable then rose again like up and down for a bit, it was unconventional and unlike anything human and or man made we have seen. It eventually went out of sight and range and we were left amazed.

My aunty, cousin and I were standing out in the drive way admiring the stars when we noticed what look like an even bigger star moving through the sky. It stayed in a straight line for about a minute and then started almost zigzagging, but not so eratically, through the sky. And then as my cousin and I were walking back to my house (5 minutes away) we noticed another, not the same, star looking thing moving through the sky.
A few weeks before this maybe around the end of Janurary (I can't tell you the exact date, I tried to forget about it because I got scared.) my boyfriend and I were watching a movie when I looked out the window and saw a red tinted star moving through the sky, east bound, we discussed and any possibility of it being a jet, plane, helicopter OR a sattelite was eliminated. This red tinted star started pulsing so we could see it one second and not the next, it did this for a few minutes while still moving east. It dissapeared, a few minutes it came back from the same direction and stopped for a moment. I'm not sure if I saw this right, but if I did this is what I saw next - The red tinted star stopped, and I saw the color red that you would see from an explosion, though it didn't look like an explosion, no smoke or fire or anything. It seemed to form a triangular shape for a moment and then it dissapeared.
I found it flying back west in the sky a few minutes later, while my boyfriend was telling me "Look over here, I see it!" But I was saying the same. Now I think there might have been two.

Last Friday night I spotted this very large and bright object flying overhead very high in the sky, I caught this clip on my iphone just as it was passing the star Sirius which I have tried to use as a reference in the video, the object was travelling directly North to South & I am facing east from The Point at Torquay, Front Beach, this was heading out over Bass Straight, there was NO flashing lights at all and it appeared as a large triangle with 3 consistent light sources although you can't really see that in this video.
I first spotted this flying technically above Orion's Belt (being that Rigel is Orion's foot) by the time I got the video going it was just passing Sirius heading directly south, which appeared to moving down in the sky, seriously I have never seen anything quite this big & I watch the sky.
I have also checked flight paths and nothing fly's directly over Torquay, unless they were heading to Antarctica which is where it looked like it was going.

Tuesday 1st January 2013 - Many reports after midnight. Sender: Toby | Hoppers Crossing
Around 10.40pm in Hoppers Crossing, myself and several other friends witnessed 2 bright object move across the sky. I would estimate the objects to be around 20deg high in a westerly direction, traveling at a constant altitude. The first light was as bright as the ISS, but then quickly faded and disappeared after about 7 seconds.
Upon seeing the first object, I originally thought it was a satellite after it had faded, but then around 10 seconds after it has disappeared, the 2nd light appeared from behind the trees, exactly the same height, speed and light magnitude and then faded at a constant rate and disappeared.
I am certain that they weren't fireworks, even though it was New Years Eve, because they moved across the sky at a slower rate than a firework, didn't explode and also moved in a straight line across the sky, and not up or down or on an angle like a firework does.
Sender: Guiseppe | Richmond
Last night at about 2am there were 3 red lights perfectly spaced in the skies just over Richmond. They hovered for approx 2-3 minutes then one by one they disappeared then reappeared slightly to the left and again disappeared one by one, However the last or bottom one seemed to stay for a longer period of time before eventually and seemingly Switching off.
It was a clear sky last night, the fireworks had ended some time before and i also heard some people in my street looking up towards these lights. My partner and I were watching and although i had had a couple of new years drinks he was 100% sober and i wasn't overly intoxicated.

The other 2 were still very bright, l decided to go inside to get my daughter. On return the 2 lights were still there. We watched for a while, then came inside as my daughter was not comfortable watching them. Don't know what the 3 red lights were ?
Sender: Steve | Glen Waverly
Like Guiseppe and Jan, we too saw three distinct lights in a triangular formation at approximately 2am on Monday 1st 2013. The fireworks were well and truely over when we saw these lights. The night was clear and there was absolutely no noise coming from the objects. The three orange - red lights appeared to be coming from the south from the Glen Waverly area across the horizon. Two of the lights stopped, reversed and then faded away whilst the first one continued on and then faded away.
My friend, along with the other 6 of my guests who also watched the event, said it was most probably balloons. The only problem with that theory is that balloons do not stop immediately and then reverse at the angle they did. It is physically impossible for that to happen. Why would two stop and reverse and one continue in the original direction if they were balloons? There is also no air craft that can stop and reverse at a 180 degree angle. If an aircraft turned around there would be a curve that is clearly visable.
After approximately 10 minutes, the one that faded away returned and went over the Blackburn area. There was no noise coming from it so it could not be a helicopter unless the Air Force has some secret helicopter that we don't know about.
The night was quite clear and as it went over our property, there was no distinct visible object although the light did indicate a circular object.
8 of us watched the event and my friend took a photo of the lights.
This is not the first time we have seen strange sightings in the night sky looking south towards the horizon and we are all quite intelligent people and most, although sceptics, did find the event very unusual.

Sender: Milan | Williamstown
Last night, 10.45pm, me and 2 others saw 2 irregular objects in the sky above Williamstown. I am an aerospace engineer. It was clear skies, objects were about 10kms away from us. We could see as far as Geelong, Mount Dandenong and Frankston. The view was perfect from my friends penthouse in St Kilda.
Object 1 was perfectly stationary during the whole encounter, object 2 moved abruptly and spontaneously, moving left, right, up and down with perfect acceleration. It would be at one spot, then would hit ~700-1000km/h instantly, coming to an instant stop thereafter. At times it would go left, instantly diagonally top left, bottom right, far left. It was amazing.
The most amazing manoeuvre happened about 1 minute into the sighting, where the moving object dropped 100-200m instantly, and IMMEDIATELY ascended 200-300m. I am very familiar with the physical limitations upon our current planes, and this was nothing like i have seen before in the field, i recognised it was something unusual just 3-4 seconds into watching it. At that time, telling 2 people near me.
Both the lights were perfectly white.
At about a minute and a half into the sighting, object 2 (the moving object) disappeared. At this point, object 1 remained in its position. 5-6 seconds later, object 2 appeared, instantly out of nowhere.
Both the objects were then visible for another 25-30 seconds, exhibiting same behaviour as before, then both instantly disappeared, perfectly timed.
- The 3 of us are sceptics, there is no 'wishful sighting', these objects were real.
- laser pointed into the sky? This would make sense, until the height changes are considered. From a side point of view, a handheld laser cannot change 'range'. It would only move left and right, not up and down.
- Meteor? the object moved upwards, with perfect vertical acceleration, several times.
- Weather interference - perfect weather, all day. Weather is still perfect, 10 hours later.
- I am also on a diet, where i can only drink water. This rules out alcohol, drug abuse. I was very much sober.
I dont know what it was, the 2 others are still stunned and 'don't know what that was but it was very strange'. I know what i saw, have discussed it immediately afterwards with friends in the aerospace field, they were very excited and wanted to hear more.

Sender: Jessica | Melbourne Airport
At approximately 1:15am on the morning of Sunday 21/10/12, my partner and I were driving home from Sunbury in Melbourne's north west.
We were heading through Bulla toward the Melbourne airport and had just passed the airport lookout when I saw a flash of light in the sky from the corner of my eye. I immediately thought it was a flash of lighting as it seemed to be the correct brightness and covered an area of the sky that lighting normally would. But only seconds later, my partner and I both witnessed a the sky light up with a very bright blue light, originating from the ground and then spreading up and outward. It only lasted for a second, but it was so bright and its circumference was so large that we could not see a single patch of dark sky remaining. The spot from which the light originated was approximately 8-10 kilometers from where we were, so for something so far away, the light was abnormally bright!
We are both still in shock and a little bit afraid as there seems like there is no logical explanation for what we witnessed. The light was so bright that the night sky, (which was very dark as it is a cloudy night), was completely lit up. For a split second, it was suddenly daylight. This is not an exaggeration! In fact, what I've written does not do the event enough justice.
I feel that tonight we were both witness to a very strange occurrence and would like to know if anybody else witnessed this too.

Today I had witnessed a broad daylight UFO sighting while trying to coax my cat inside the house. The cat refused to budge and consequently, I was able to witness something fantastic.
I had noticed what initially appeared to be a helicopter coming from the north and so I was waiting to hear the accompanying noise. As the object came closer, I noticed that there was no distinguishing aircraft characteristics and the strangest thing of all was the fact that there was no noise. The object moved smoothly and fast through the sky and also appeared to be shape shifting or rotating as it flew.
The colours were changing between red and black. The object continued along a strait trajectory heading south and appeared to fly faster than any typical aircraft I have seen before. Thanks for allowing me to share this exciting story.

A Melbourne man has captured footage of what he claims to be a UFO hovering across the city skyline, reports the HeraldSun. The three-minute clip was recorded as the UFO hovered over Carlton Gardens on Saturday 23rd September 2012.
UFO sighted over Carlton Gardens
Tod, who did not want his surname published, said he captured the footage on his phone after he first saw the object about 9.30pm. Other witnesses have reported seeing it as early as 7.30pm. Tod said the object left the Carlton Gardens area about 11pm, flying past the Immigration Museum.
“It was moving like no other flying object that I'm aware exists, and it was displaying amazing patterns of lights that looked something like a light show display in the sky,” he said.
“I was on Lygon St when I first saw it then I walked up to Carlton Gardens, there were a whole bunch of other people saw it as well,” he said.

Astronomical Society of Victoria spokesman Perry Vlahos said it was unlikely the object was anything extraordinary.
“Something that has been around that long and not seen by astronomers is probably unlikely to be anything odd,” he said.
“The fact it was in the sky for that long probably indicates it was something not too unusual."
Mr Vlahos said members of the ASV had not reported anything unexpected.
“The ASV has hundreds of members - many are looking into the sky with large telescopes every clear night from various locations around the state, including Melbourne, and none of them have reported seeing anything unexpected,” he said.
But other witnesses have described seeing other UFOs in the area.
Carlton resident Penny De La Soyo said she was shocked after seeing a “weird formation” of lights from the balcony of her 9th floor apartment.
Ms De La Soyo said the formation passed her home about 10.15pm.
“Eight orange lights in a weird formation came up over the horizon, then their formation changed a bit, one disappeared and then others did,” she said.
“It all lasted about a minute. I know it wasn’t a plane or helicopter.
“The lights were orange, they weren’t flashing like lights on a plane,” she said.Ms De LA Soyo said she had tried to “be logical” about the sighting, but said it was unlike anything she had seen before.
The sightings comes less than a week after a western suburbs man captured an eight minute video of a fast-moving disc-shaped object descending and ascending high above his Albanvale house.
The man, known only as Ivan, said a neighbour called him outside to witness the spectacle, both looking on in astonishment.
"I have dismissed a lot of things thinking of what it could be," Ivan said.
"But I am left with very little other than to think it is something unearthly."
Ivan said the object lingered in the sky for around an hour and changed colour - switching between green, red and blue - and for several seconds at a time disappeared.
At around 7:10pm driving home from work on Monday (24th Sept) I could have sworn I saw the same light as in the video on Saturday just passed. It was a bluish light and seemed not to move. It was over the Caulfield area...

My husband and I were driving near Burwood two days ago - sun was about to set, sky was clear but glowing orange. We both saw this reflective light thing in the sky - not moving. Looked like someone was in the sky reflecting the sun off a mirror at us. It wasn't round, looked like a small square in the sky. It was really high up where you'd normally see planes flying, that kind of distance. Then it disappeared. We both hadn't said anything to each other at this stage. I was searching for it in the sky when I saw it pop back up at the other end of the sky (within our vision of our windscreen). That's when I said "did you see that?". My husband said yes.
We both agreed it couldn't have been a plane. The sky was so clear that if you were looking up you couldn't have missed it. Although it wasn't there for long. It disappeared again within 20 seconds or so. I kept looking for it in the sky but couldn't find it again. Be interesting to see if anyone else saw it.

I saw two lights in the sky over Noble Park at about 5am one Sunday morning in August 2012. I was sitting in my car. At first i thought the light on the right was a helicopter as it looked close to the ground and was yellow/white in colour. The light on the left didn't look as close.
The lights didn't change colour or flicker, they were just solid. As I watched them i noticed the light on the right was moving in a pattern. It would move right then down then left then up. It did this for about 5 minutes. I thought I was tired and seeing things. I took my eyes off them for about 10 seconds as I got out of my car to get a better look & when I looked back up they had disappeared. Very weird!!!

My friend clearly saw a UFO over the direction Williamstown on Thurs 28th June between 6.30 -7pm. I kept looking at the sky from Bentleigh as the clouds cleared for an hour and at 9.45. my husband and I saw the UFO travelling from south east across the sky. It was flashing red, blue and green and was appearing to be rotating; causing the colours to move out from the object.
On Sat evening, the 30th June again my friend saw the same UFO in the sky around the same time as when he saw it on Thursday. I was looking at the sky in Bentleigh and as the UFO went out of his vision, my husband, daughter and self, saw the same UFO travelling about mid section of sky, travelling faster than a jet, and was visibly flashing red, blue and green. As it travelled north south-direction Mt Martha, the colours shot off it at high right angles; making me believe again the craft was rotating. Even though it was moving in a direct line, you could clearly see that the craft was also appearing to shoot up - down and sideways at very fast motion. It moved across the sky very quickly.

Hey, Last night about 10pm on Tuesday 17th April I was sitting on my porch looking west from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne when I noticed a 'star' in the sky that had a reddish glow to it and thought it was quite beautiful, then it started to move. I blinked my eyes and refocused on this light that was now moving in random and just blew me away.
I watched this for about 30 min before going back inside, then after being inside for about another 30min I returned to my porch to see if the light was still there, it was. It was perfect timing as the light started to move very quickly in a south-west direction as was gone. This is the second time in 5 years I have witnessed this type of thing in the skies above Melbourne, the first time involved 5 lights. Simply inspiring that we are so close to first contact.

It's still happening as I write. Watching non stop activity looking from mt Martha foreshore across towards city. About 5km or so, left of city towards western suburbs. As one object comes close to the bay, it lowers towards the bay water leaving a reflection as it get closer to the water. It then disappears into it's own reflection.
As this is happening another light appears in the far distance behind it starting the process again. Each light lasts around five minutes or so. The fact that the lights seem to move a few hundred meters side to side in a slight but very obvious motion, as they approach confirms they are not of normality. It's been going for 45 minutes now. We see a lot of activity over bay, Quite often...

Last Thursday, 23/2 I was on the train on my way into the city for work, approx 8:15am, near South Kensington train station. While I was looking out the window, I noticed something odd in the sky. First I thought it was an aeroplane but then something strange happenend.
At first the object was travelling at the same speed as the train, then it went from being a small white object to having wings for a microsecond. Then the wings collapsed again. This happenend twice.
Then the object started speeding up and upwards. When it reached further height, a bright yellow light came on. And then the object sped up fast and upwards and disappeared into the sky.
All this happened in less than 30 seconds!

Is anyone watching the sky tonight? There are masses of flying saucers, all flashing red, blue/green and yellow lights. They are hovering over the western side of Melbourne and there seems to be a larger saucer which is not flashing, but solid bright yellow lights. They are everywhere. I've spotted at least 15-20. It's now 12.23am Wednesday 22 February 2012 and I just have to tell someone as I don't think anyone will believe me! Please check the sky now!!

My daughter was sitting in the lounge today at about 7pm and said that she saw this bright pink light outside in the clouds. She got up to have a better look near the window and said she then heard a loud humming noise like a hovering.
It lasted a couple of minutes and then she said it vanished. She didn't see a craft but this was several hours after the storm and the sky was overcast. She was a bit freaked out by the noise and the whole thing. She said the sound was like in the movies the hovering sound the ufo makes. These were her words she is nearly 12 years old.
This sighting originally was posted in 15th February.

I was heading to bed just before 2am when I noticed a large light in the sky that I'd never seen before. When it began to fade out somewhat quickly, I noticed there was another light that was much smaller above it.
Initially I thought it was a shooting star, until the larger light began to move and the smaller light moved with it... then within the space of five to ten seconds they just faded out and disappeared. It seemed to be hovering over the inner-city. Still somewhat freaked out.

Saw a very bright Pink light last night over Croydon area about 10.30PM. It was desecending very fast from the sky. In fact so fast we thought it may come down on to our car as we were travelling down Mt Dandenong Rd towards Croydon. It then disappeared.
There were four of us in the car at the time and we all saw it.
Anyone else see this?

Travelling along Maroondah Hwy toward Lilydale near Croydon around 12.30am, my kids and I spotted a green light in the sky that then turned red then green, it was the size of a star and was moving back toward the city making sharp turns, it was traveling fast didnt look like an aircraft.
Anyone else see it? Very strange!
Sender: Raph | Cheltenham
Sunday Feb 12 at 11:15pm, five minutes after I had turned out the bedroom light - a sudden, bright light pierced the 'plantation' window shutters which were closed. The light was so bright made streaks of white light beams emanate from the tiny cracks in the closed shutters - the lines reflected on the opposite wall of the bedroom and was accompanied with a quite loud, electric-sounding vibration/hum - sort of "Vvvvvvvvvvv"
I opened my eyes to see the light grow more intense as did the hum which got louder, then the light quickly receded as did the humming noise.
It only lasted 5-7 seconds. My partner was awake and she too saw/heard what I did.
I immediately went outside but all was quiet and there was nothing to be seen. No cars, helicopters, strange weather patterns, there was no wind, rain or heavy cloud.
It was either a bizarre electrical phenomena such as 'ball lightning' or else there was something hovering just above the street at the front of my house, with an incredibly strong beam of light that lit up the yard.
I'd be interested if anyone else in the area saw anything around the same time? I'm in Cheltenham - around 18kms south of the city.

I'm pretty sure I spotted a UFO over Melbourne this morning 6am going south to north.
First my attention was caught by a sparkling star which was obviously due to the moisture in the air and incoming rain. Then I noticed a red flashing light which at first I thought was a plane but quickly realised that it was rising way to fast to be a plane. It got to a certain point in nthe sky very quickly and then doglegged on itself and started almost backtracking on its original course.
It travelled about 2 thirds of the distance I originally saw and then turned again at right angles and then slowly dissapeared. Each turn was exteme and not a plane or jet. Then seconds later a white glowing object came flying across the sky south to north. It was a solid white light, silent and low flying. It was not a shooting star and not a plane or helicopter although it was no higher than a jet flies.
It was flying at an extreme speeed and took about 45 seconds to clear Melbourne. If it was a satelite, I would like to know, but I have been watching the skies in hope that I would see a UFO for more than 20 years now and I have seen dozens of satelites, shooting stars and even baloons. I'm pretty sure this wasnt any of these.

Tonight at about 10:15pm looking up towards Yarra Glen / Healseville way I saw in the sky an object that was flashing Green, Red & Yellow. It was hovering for a very very long time and then dropped down and flew back up instantly. It was not a plane or helicopter.
I looked through my binoculars and it was round and flashing. When I got my phone and video it it looked like 2 and then 3 lights forming a triangle. Did any one else see it ???

I was standing on a friends balcony in Greensvale at 10 pm, looking towards southwest, there was only one bright star in the sky, out of nowhere another much brighter star just popped up in the same field of vision,
It was orangish and seemed to shiver, unlike the other star closeby, I watched it for a minute and right in front of my eyes it turned off like a lightbulb. It never moved away or became dim before turning off, there were no strobes, no clouds either.

Sender: James | Forest Hill
At about 9:40 on the 11th of Jan 2012, I saw a bright light flying at a high speed just south of Forest Hill shopping centre. It was traveling a lot faster than a plane, about 4 times more, there was no noises, exept several bats and owls started screeching, this seemed extremely unusual. I only witnessed the light for around 5-7 seconds, it was on a set course and must be orbiting, due to the fact that neighbors have seen it several times before. There was definitely a faded tail behind it.
If anyone else think they've seen it, it was heading at about 100°-110° and could even be travelling fast enough to make it past Gippsland in a matter of minutes!
