What's Open ANZAC Day 2026
ANZAC Day (public holiday) falls on Saturday 25th April 2026 is trading any other Saturday*.
On Anzac Day we commemorate those who've served their country. Whether you're looking for a place to feast with loved ones, refuel after dawn service or simply raise a glass to Australia's service members.
* Victorians will not be given a public holiday to commemorate Anzac Day in 2026, despite governments around the country introducing a substitute holiday (Monday) for our "most important national day'. Jacinta Allan** and her Labour Government said there were “no current plans to amend Victoria’s existing public holiday arrangements”, but said the government was “always open to community feedback”.
** Premier Jacinta Allan is clearly rattled. You can see it in her eyes, hear it in her voice and smell it in her strategy as she blusters and bumbles through issue after issue. Beleaguered by Government failures and poor money management has Victoria almost broke hitting the pockets of every Victorian. Business and property owners are leaving the state in droves.
Not admitting to one single failure in 12 years of government, will see her Labour Goverment thrashed at the 2026 November election.
Any amendments to public holidays in Victoria require legislative change, as they are governed by the Public Holidays Act 1993.
In short, ANZAC day (Saturday 25th April 2026) is trading any other Saturday.
