Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission

The Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC) is the Victorian Government's foremost body advising on business regulation reform and identifying opportunities for improving Victoria's competitive position.

The Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission was established by the Victorian Government on 1 July 2004 under the State Owned Enterprises (State body - Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission) Order 2004.

The Order in Council was amended in October 2006 to extend the Commission's role to assess the adequacy of the measurement of changes in the administrative burden of regulation.
