Starring James Egglestone, Lee Abrahmsen and Warwick Fyfe, conducted by Kelly Lovelady, Wagner's vast score is reimagined in a two-piano reduction, bringing some of Australia's heavyweight Wagnerian singers into the unexpected intimacy of Northcote Town Hall.

Most productions stage Tristan und Isolde as tragic romance. BK Opera does not. This is not a Tristan und Isolde to be admired from a comfortable distance. It is one to be survived.
