Moonee Valley Racecourse

Moonee Valley Racecourse

Moonee Valley Racecourse managed bv the Moonee Valley Racing Club is the historic home of Australia's most prestigious horse race, the Cox Plate.

October every year features five days of racing events and activities culminating with two of the most spectacular and prestigious events on the Australian Racing Calendar.

On Friday night, night racing steps up to another level with the running of the Group 1 Manikato Stakes. The next day sees Australasia's greatest Weight-For-Age Championship race take over the Valley, the Group 1 Cox Plate - The Race Where Legends Are Made.

The Cox Plate Carnival offers a first-class range of experiences for members, corporate groups and visitors alike, with fine dining, live entertainment and arguably the best seats for watching thoroughbred racing anywhere in the world, at Moonee Valley's unique amphitheatre racetrack.

Whether you're after the action of Friday night's racing, or the thrill of Cox Plate Day, you can choose from a wide range of fine dining and entertainment options to suit your budget and your taste, there's a place for everyone at the Cox Plate Carnival.
