Melbourne Truffle Festival 2019

Melbourne Truffle Festival 2019Melbourne Truffle Festival 2019

The 2019 Truffle Dining Program kicks off on 3 June with a Chinois style fusion menu at Yu Restaurant, Chadstone.

Our season opening party follows at Stokehouse on 13 June - it's the best truffle party of the year! Book at Stokehouse. Other Dining Program dates are being confirmed, with lots of other Chefs and venues in the plan.

The growth in truffle production in Victoria has been strong, with over a tonne produced last season. Our bookable truffle hunts offer you a chance to experience the fabulous fungus up close and personal. Some of the hunts at our own farm, Truffle Paddock, are sold out, but new dates will be announced soon at our partner farms.

We'll see you at Queen Victoria Market this year on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June - we guarantee to truffle you out more than last year! It's the biggest truffle party weekend outside Europe, and there are reasons why - superb truffle tastes, fascinating demonstrations, great music and a fabulous day out!

Truffle Weekend @ Queen Victoria Market

Every year Truffle Melbourne partners with our favourite Victorian truffieres to host hunts on most weekends throughout the winter truffle season.

Whether rain, hail or shine, rug up and pull on your gumboots to enjoy a genuine bucket list experience- joining the truffle hunter and their working truffle dogs on a stroll through the truffle patch.

The Truffle Paddock is Truffle Melbourne founder Nigel Wood's truffiere in Grantville. Surrounded by indigenous trees, native birds and wildlife, hunt for black and white truffles with Melbourne's favourite truffle hunting dogs 'Spice' and 'Arrow' as your guide.

Black Cat Truffles offer a slice of truffle heaven, with views overlooking the Creswick State Forest on the horizon. Put on your gumboots, rug up in your winter woollies and head off on an adventure hunting for Black Winter Truffles with truffle dogs Ella, Harry and Narla as your guides.

Visit Red Hill Truffles on the Mornington Peninsula and be charmed by Jenny and her super sniffer truffle dog Thomas as they lead you through the oak and hazelnut trees. You'll have plenty of opportunities to taste, smell, photograph, purchase and even devour freshly harvested truffle, right through the winter season.

At Wongarra Farm experience a farm tour, truffle hunt with Riley the truffle dog and a light lunch in one of Victoria's oldest truffieres, situated in the Southern Otways and overlooking the ocean. The farm also produces free-range Wessex Saddleback pigs, Welsh Black cattle, Suffolk sheep and pastured chickens.

Gippsland's Black Truffle Harvest truffiere offers commanding views along the coast to enjoy while you hunt with 'Spice' and 'Arrow' before returning to The Truffle House for fireside tastes and tales with Noel.
