Melbourne Tartan Festival 2026

CELEBRATE SCOTTISH CULTURE
The Melbourne Tartan Festival is a joint initiative of the Victorian Scottish Heritage Cultural Foundation and Scots of Victoria Co-ordinating Group.
Beginning at the Spring Street end of Collins Street at 2pm, approximately 200 pipers, drummers, dancers, clan and society representatives, plus some gorgeous wee Scottie dogs, will parade down Collins Street in celebration of all things Scottish.
There'll also be piping and Highland dancing displays between 11.30am and 1.30pm at Old Treasury Building terrace and pipers on the balconies from 1pm.
Head to the Robbie Burns Statue in Treasury Gardens for Burns' poetry readings.
Don't miss the pop-up performances in the central city area at 11.30am, where you'll hear them before you see them!
