MaRLo celebrates a decade of ALTITUDE in Melbourne

ALTITUDE reaches a major milestone in 2026, a decade after MaRLo launched the event as a platform to explore the full range of his sound.

For the Melbourne anniversary show, Symbiotic is scaling up the concept with a stadium-style tent at Flemington Racecourse, state-of-the-art production and a program built around the different sides of MaRLo's music.

Rather than a conventional headline DJ appearance, the show will feature special sets representing his MaRLo, TECH ENERGY and V3NOM aliases. The format reflects the original idea behind ALTITUDE: giving the Australian DJ and producer room to move across the various styles and sounds that have shaped his performances.

The Melbourne event will also feature a world-exclusive MaRLo back-to-back set with Will Sparks, bringing together two Australian electronic artists who have built substantial international careers while remaining closely associated with the country's dance music scene.

Ten years of ALTITUDE

ALTITUDE began in 2016 from MaRLo's desire to create an event capable of showcasing more than one side of his music. Over the following decade, it developed into a recurring large-scale event with an audience MaRLo describes as the "ALTITUDE family".

Reflecting on the anniversary, MaRLo said the idea had grown far beyond its beginnings, with 10 years of shows, music and shared memories behind it while still feeling like the project is only getting started.

That history will shape The Decade rather than simply provide a backdrop to it. By putting MaRLo's different aliases at the centre of the program, the 2026 production is designed as a retrospective of the sounds he has developed under the ALTITUDE banner as well as the next chapter for the event.

MaRLo ALTITUDE: The Decade takes place at Flemington Racecourse, Flemington, on Saturday, 5 September 2026. The event runs from 4pm to 11pm AEST, with the Melbourne production planned for a capacity of 15,000 beneath the stadium tent.
