As a boy, Sir Stafford Henry Northcote had dreams of grandeur. He was a kind and gentle young man with a wild imagination and a healthy ambition. Years later, Sir Stafford Henry, would leave a lasting impression on Melbourne's development and culture.
For 111 years, our beloved Thornbury was part of the City of Northcote. In June 1994, Thornbury stood up and claimed the title of suburb in its own right. Little Henri pays homage to Northcote and celebrates the rich local history by tipping our cap to Sir Stafford Henry..or as we like to call him, Little Henri.
