Holiday trains, trams axed

TRAIN and tram operators will slash services during the holidays despite an average fare rise of almost 10 per cent from January 1. Up to one in five tram services will be cut with Yarra Trams and M>Tram running a Saturday timetable. Tram passengers will have to wait up to 20 minutes between rides during the peak.
