The Ford Discovery Centre officially closed its doors to the public on Sunday July 29 2012.
Before It Closed
The Ford Discovery Centre was located on the corner of Brougham and Gheringhap Streets in Geelong, directly over the road from where Ford first started its operations in Australia in 1925.
At the Ford Discovery Centre, you could discover the past, present and exciting future of Ford Australia. The Centre provided a unique behind the scene opportunity to experience how cars are designed, engineered and built. The Centre took you on a journey through the Australian history of a remarkable global company with a long and proud heritage in this country.
From T to BF and cars in between, there was an impressive selection of cars, from the world-changing Model T, the first XK Falcon, Bathurst-winning Falcons and GTs, to the latest models off the production line.
