Fabric Restaurant

Fabric, named for its keen attention to creating an ambience that is influenced by texture and detail, is one of the finest venues that Melbourne has to offer.

An intimate setting tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is just a short walk into a relaxed atmosphere that offers an escape from the nine to five. Fabric is already making its mark on the events pages as the official venue launching the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, hosting an intimate and exclusive album launch for The Whitlams, holding the after-parties for sell-out performances such as Proof, Copenhagen and The Royal Ballet of England, along with a regular clientele that reads like a Hollywood A-list including Rachel Griffiths and Geoffrey Rush.

Chef and owner Tim Smith guarantees that not only will guests enjoy the intimate setting and relaxed atmosphere, but they will also be treated to his amazing food. Before opening Fabric Tim was the executive chef at Rockmans Regency and has over sixteen years experience in five-star hotels in Great Britain and Australia. He is also the recipient of numerous awards and has been a Melbourne Master Class Presenter and appears regularly on television and radio. His seasonal and fresh menu is always on hand with a modern European feel that offers something for every discerning food lover.

Fabric is the perfect venue for every occasion. Close enough for after work drinks, or to drop into for a quick coffee, perfect for dinner before and after a show at the Victorian Arts Centre and personal enough for corporate functions.
