Counting House

Counting House in the Mornington Peninsula is a stylish restaurant with views overlooking Mornington Park and Port Phillip Bay. Offering traditional French cuisine complimented with fine local and French wines.

Set in a heritage listed 98 year old bank building, the venue has been fully restored to its former glory replete with costal colours adorning its facade & bespoke furniture by an artisan cabinet maker. It has opened to acclaim for its design & its French inspired menu created & prepared by Chef Gavin Ong who is a protege of Curtis Stone while at Marco Pierre Whites london restaurant - Quo Vadis.

The venue has 5 dining areas: 2 Dining rooms, a wine bar room, an outside deck area & footpath cafe area. Mumm Champagne & Kronenberg Beer are its relationship sponsors.

All kitchen produce is locally supplied w our back courtyard resplendent w a fig tree shading the Chefs own herb garden. The Wine list is heavily represented by the Peninsula boutique wineries along with classic Antipodean & french labels.

Counting House has a manifesto unashamedly geared towards becoming a long standing iconic destination for decades to come. It is a journey that is a dream for any restaurateur.
