Buninyong Festival 2019
The Buninyong Festival is a biennial event featuring in the Springtime in Buninyong weekend.
It is is a free community focused event held biennially in late October - located in the gorgeous village of Buninyong, just 11 kms south of Ballarat.is a free family-friendly day out celebrating our local community.
It's a safe, fun and exciting day for the whole family with music, amusement rides, animal farm, stalls, food trucks and local community group information stalls, with thousands of locals and visitors come to the Festival which is accessible to all walks of life.
The Buninyong Festival is a fantastic opportunity for local artists, community groups, traders and other organisations to be seen and heard as well as meet and interact with the local community.
The Buninyong Festival is a celebration of the local community, of its diversity, interests, passions, ideas, and the expression of the ‘Good Life'.
The Festival aims to provide:
A fun and low cost day of entertainment for the whole family
Activities and competitions where the kids can express themselves
A platform for Community Groups to reach out to the wider Buninyong and Ballarat communities

Buninyong & district historical society - open day & history walk
Enjoy local Buninyong historical information as well as a display of the history of the Festival since 1975.
Meet at 11am on Sunday 29 October with local historian Anne Beggs-Suntera for an interesting walk around at our most historical sites.

Free screenings of the heritage film ‘Mooramong - Private Hollywood'.
This documentary unveils the extraordinary life of a Hollywood silent film actress Claire Adams and her husband Donald ‘Scobie' MacKinnon who chose country Victoria as their home in the 1930's. Life on the land in their homestead ‘Mooramong' in Skipton, Victoria, was captured on celluloid as she filmed their daily existence far away from the bright lights of stardom. Her private films have remained silent until now!
Buninyong fire brigade open day
The Buninyong CFA are holding their Open Day in conjunction with this year's Buninyong Festival, with their main presence at De Soza Park in Warrenheip Street, Buninyong.
Come along, say hello and explore our trucks. Members will be conducting demonstrations and activities throughout the day.
They will also have the Buninyong Fire Station open at 307 Learmonth Street. The historic 1899 Merryweather horse-drawn fire engine will be on display and fire safety information will be available from here.
