Bouncers - Iron or Irony ?

A new BOUNCER story complete with irony has appeared in the Herald Sun newspaper this morning, but is it irony?

Scenario 1

A man bashes a BOUNCER = A 23-year-old man faces eight charges including intentionally causing serious injury.

Scenario 2

A BOUNCER bashes David Hookes = A 21-year-old will face one charge of manslaughter plus a count of common assault.
