Bluey: The Exhibition 2027 |
A world-first Bluey exhibition is coming to ACMI in Melbourne in 2027
ACMI, together with BBC Studios and the multi award-winning producers of Bluey, Ludo Studio, have announced an exclusive world premiere exhibition about the making of the much-loved animated TV series Bluey.
Opening at ACMI in Melbourne in mid-2027 before taking a road trip around the world, the exhibition celebrates the warmth, humour and craft of the award-winning series. Go behind the scenes and get up close with Bluey, her friends and her family, the creative process and the people who make it all happen.
Whether you're five or ninety-five, or you just have strong feelings about Lucky's Dad's rules, this is an exhibition made for everyone.
Australia's beloved animated series Bluey is set to make its way to Melbourne, with a world-first exhibition planned for ACMI in mid-2027.
Announced by Colin Brooks, the exclusive showcase will bring the hugely popular show to life for local audiences, while also drawing visitors from across Australia and overseas.
The exhibition is being developed by BBC Studios alongside Ludo Studio, the Brisbane-based team behind Bluey. Visitors can expect a behind-the-scenes look at how the series is created, from storytelling through to animation.
It won't just be a look-but a hands-on experience. Families will be able to step into Bluey's world and explore the creative process in a way that goes beyond the screen.
The show's global success backs up the hype. In 2024, Bluey became the most-watched series worldwide on Disney+, and it also topped U.S. streaming charts across both 2024 and 2025, according to Nielsen.
Brooks said the exhibition would be a major drawcard for the city, giving local families something special while attracting fans from far beyond Victoria.
For Sharon Wilson, the exhibition is about extending the show's appeal into the real world-giving audiences a chance to experience the storytelling and creativity that have made Bluey a hit with families everywhere.
More details on the Bluey exhibition, including exact dates, are expected to be announced later in 2026.
