The Dome is one of Melbourne's most breathtaking architectural landmarks.
Several features from this time still survive, including the extraordinary mosaic-tiled floor, ornate Baroque and Italianate pillars, arches and other decorative flourishes, and clerestory windows that create shafts of natural golden light.
But the building's most visually arresting feature is the soaring Dome itself - its sheer scale and architectural beauty are truly spellbinding.
