Daylight Saving Starts | Melbourne

This is a reminder to turn your clocks FORWARD one hour for the official start to the daylight saving period on Sunday, 6 October 2013.

Victoria's period of daylight saving starts at 2:00am when clocks are moved forward one hour to 3:00am.



Turn Your Clocks

FORWARD


Remember to change..
Clocks, watches and alarm clocks.
Video, DVD, CD players.
Microwave, Refrigerator.
Computers (normally automated).

Victoria's period of daylight saving will start at 2:00am on Sunday, 6 October 2013. At 2:00am standard time (Eastern Standard Time) move clocks forward one hour to 3:00am summer time.

Victoria's period of daylight saving will end on Sunday, 6 April 2014. At end of daylight saving period, move clock back one hour at 3:00am summer time to 2:00am standard time (Eastern Standard Time).

Change Smoke Alarm Batteries


On the same day as Daylight Saving Ends, Victorians are urged to change the batteries in their smoke alarms.

Working in construction where you are not allowed to make noise before 7.00am having daylight saving means an earlier start to be able to get finished in the hottest part of the day. It is much better to do concreting or walk around on a roof early in the morning when it is not as hot.

Isn't it fascinating, the only people who complain about DLS are the people who don't like it (think it sucks) and not a rationale reason why they don't like it other than.. I don't like it!
