Wings Live: Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne

Paul McCartney and Wings performed twice at Melbourne's Myer Music bowl in November 1975. This was part of Wings' tour of Australia in November 1975. Wings performed live at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl Thursday 13th November 1975* - 21st night of the 65-date Wings Over The World Tour Friday 14th November 1975 - 22nd night of the 65-date Wings Over The World Tour On both nights. WINGS performed to audiences of 14,000 fans*. Wings were Paul McCartney on vocals, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards; Linda McCartney on vocals and keyboards; Denny Laine on vocals, guitar, and bass guitar; Jimmy McCulloch on guitar and vocals; and Joe English on drums, plus a horns and brass section consisting of Howie Casey, Tony Dorsey, Steve Howard, and Thaddeus Richard. * The Beatles - Live in Melbourne I was too young to go The Beatles concerts at Festival Hall. As a 9 year old Beatle fan I sat in front of a black and white television on July 1, 1964, and watched The Beatles Sing for Shell, a TV Special on Channel 9 . The next day, together with my mother, I went into the city hoping to see The Beatles live. She worked in a dry cleaners in Bourke St, which was oposite Southern Cross Hotel, where The Beatles were staying. 100's of other young hopefuls were also there staring up at the hotel all day hoping to catch a glimpse. Whenever there was movement, a curtain moving, there would be excitement and screams. I never did get to see them that day, so seeing Paul, live in concert* was my opportunity too see The Beatles (well, my Beatles) live. From the opening bars of Yesterday, the tears started flowing. It was wonderful. I looked around and saw many other Beatle fans crying. I was now 20 years old but in reality I was 9 again.
