Head to Waterfront Southgate, one of Melbourne's great seafood restaurants, and feast on a diverse array of delicacies such as soft shell crab, Moreton Bay Bugs, rock lobster, mud crab, snapper, salmon, tuna, barramundi, swordfish, squid, King prawns, flounder and kingfish. The restaurant also boasts a large meat locker where whole sirloins and square ribs are aged on the bone. This is all complemented by an extensive red wine list sourced globally with a continued commitment to fresh produce and excellent service.

Executive chef Mark Briggs has expertly crafted and evolved the 'fresh from the sea' and 'fresh from the farm' to the plate menu, defined by its ethos of plentiful visibility with a tailored, personal approach to impeccable service. Guests can choose to dine in the main dining room, on the alfresco dining terrace, or sit directly at the oyster and sushi bar, where the chefs slice and prepare fresh sashimi right before your very eyes.

Whether dining for lunch, dinner or somewhere in between, Waterfront welcomes guests with it's all day menu and kitchen open late for nearby post-show diners.

The Zampelis family has a long tradition of serving high quality fresh food in Australia dating back to 1902 when Dimitrios Zampelis' emigrated from the Island of Lefkas Greece. He was one of the first people to establish a seafood cafe in Australia. Dimitrios sponsored his nephews Nicholas (in 1924) and George (in 1954) to come to Australia and help expand his business. It is George's sons who continue the family business today.
