Wandong Live Steamers

Wandong Live Steamers Inc is a not for profit association established for the enjoyment in construction and running of model locomotives and rollingstock in a prototypical manner. Our track is located one hour north of Melbourne on the Hume Highway on eight hectares of hills and plains with a perennial flowing creek. The property is abound with native flora and fauna. The WLS has approximately 1 km of mainline 5"gauge track with extensive yards, a roundhouse, passing loops and bridges. Membership is by invitation and fees consist of a once-off joining fee and an annual membership fee. Expenditure for capital works, maintenance and site service charges comes from membership fees. There is no running for the public to generate revenue. The facilities are for the sole use of members and invited guests. Amenities have been built on site and the clubhouse is an ex Victorian Railways VVDE guards van. Picnic and camping facilities are available to members. There are no public running days.
