Vintage & Modern Toy Fair returns to Malvern

Melbourne collectors will have another chance to search for old favourites and newer releases when Vintage & Modern Toy Fair holds its final event of 2026 at Malvern Town Hall on Sunday 18 October.

More than 120 seller tables will fill the venue, with stock spanning toys, dolls, diecast models, comics, retro gaming and other collectables. The fair uses independent sellers rather than a central retailer, with participants ranging from collectors selling surplus pieces to small specialist toy businesses. As a result, the selection changes from event to event.

Vintage & Modern Toy Fair began in Melbourne in 2019, founded by three long-time collectors who wanted to create a regular meeting place for people buying and selling old and contemporary toys. Its events are now held regularly at Malvern Town Hall, alongside larger editions staged at other Melbourne venues.

The October fair follows the Monster-Size Vintage & Modern Toy Fair held at Melbourne Showgrounds in August. The Malvern event returns to the smaller format, spread across the town hall with more than 120 tables.

Tickets and entry times

Entry is staggered throughout the morning. A limited early-bird session begins at 9am, with general admission starting at 9.30am. Tickets for entry sessions through to 11.30am must be purchased online, while admission from 12.30pm can also be purchased at the door.

Refreshments and coffee will be available at the venue. There are no ATM facilities at Malvern Town Hall, and payment methods can vary between independent sellers, so visitors planning to buy collectables may want to carry some cash.
