Underground Philosophy: Truth to Power

What must be brought to light today?

Underground Philosophy is where spectators become participants. Experience live philosophy where audience members have the opportunity to ask questions, contribute to the field of meaning, and engage in conversations that venture through the ideas shaping our time.

On Thursday April 23rd we make space for conversations that rarely happen anywhere else.

The topic is Truth to Power.

What of great importance goes unsaid today? What may be said but unheard, ignored, misunderstood, or actively suppressed by people, structures or functions of power? How can we understand the situation of truth and its relation to power today?

RUNTIME

5.30 - Doors (Gather upstairs in the cocktail lounge)

6.00 - Start (take your seats at 5.50pm downstairs in the Vault)

8.00 - Event End

8.00 - Onwards: Optional speakeasy upstairs in the cocktail lounge. (There's a separate standup comedy event downstairs at 8.30.)

*Spoken participation during the show is optional and limited. Seats will be arrayed in audience format facing the stage. Questions and comments can be made from the audience. Some will be invited onto stage to deepen the dialogue.
