Trail of Lights is a transcendent experience, allowing connection with both the artwork and the natural environment.
Through the interplay of 12,500 firefly lights, Gone Fishing sculptures, and the natural landscape, Munro invites contemplation and reflection, creating a space for introspection and wonder.
As night falls, this spectacle will turn Lock Island into a must visit destination for both locals and visitors.
Location
Located just 1.7km from Mildura's CBD and Feast Street, the Trail of Lights Art Installation offers a scenic and enjoyable experience along the beautiful Murray River.
Visitors can easily access the installation with multiple parking options available nearby.
The Lock 11 Car Park provides direct access, while the Dog Park Car Park is just 300m away. The Cureton Avenue Car Park and adjacent street parking, located 260m from the trail, offer accessibility via both stairs and a ramp. For those who enjoy a leisurely stroll, the Homestead Car Park, situated 600m from the installation, allows visitors to take a picturesque six-minute walk through the historic Mildura Homestead and along the river.

From the iconic Field of Light at Uluru to the mesmerizing Sensorio in the rolling hills of Paso Robles in California, Munro's installations are more than just art, they're experiences.
His work is a captivating blend of creativity and engineering, where thousands of lights come together to tell stories of wonder and human connection.
Bruce Munro is also the visionary behind the iconic Field of Light Uluru, is bringing his luminous world to Mildura.
