Award-Winning UK Doc 'The Two of Us' to Make Melbourne Premiere at MDFF
Progress Pictures is proud to announce the official Australian premiere of their highly acclaimed documentary feature, The Two of Us, screening at the 2026 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival.
Directed by Owen Ward and produced by John May, this raw and deeply moving 86-minute feature arrives down under fresh off winning the prestigious Special Jury Prize (Best Documentary) at the 26th Beverly Hills Film Festival and securing a Best Documentary Feature nomination at the 33rd Raindance Film Festival.
Following the tragic murder of his daughter, Elle, on Christmas Eve, Tim Edwards begins a powerful journey of healing. Joined by Liverpool comedian John May, the two men set out to walk the entire length of the UK-confronting grief, tackling the stigma around male mental health, and inspiring others to find hope in the face of unimaginable loss.
The Two of Us is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit, highlighting how openness, companionship, and vulnerability can navigate profound trauma.
