We reckon Zimbabwean born, RnB, soul songstress Thando is Australia's new Marsha.. Singer, songwriter and actor Thando has quietly spent her time selling out venues and crafting her signature sound. This multidimensional performer is solidifying her status as Melbourne's newest first lady of R&B. Thandolwethu Emily Nomvula Sikwila (Thando) was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on 9 April 1993. She was a contestant on season three of The Voice. She has toured the east coast, performed at Bigsound Festival + Strawberry Fields, St Kilda Festival, Chapel off Chapel and Federation Square. She has portrayed Effie White in a stage production of Dreamgirls and the coveted role of Shug Avery in a sold out season of The Color Purple.
