Swinburne Centre | Punt Road Oval

Punt Road Oval, Corner Punt Road and Brunton Avenue

Punt Road Oval is the traditional home ground of the Richmond Football Club. Located near the MCG, the club's training and administration is still based at the ground, inside the Swinburne Centre, which replaced the old social club building and opened in 2011. The ground also hosts Richmond's VFL home games.

The oval was reconstructed and made larger in 2012/13, increasing it to the size of Etihad Stadium, while also removing the turf cricket wickets. The historic grandstand is still in place and was renovated in time for the 2014 season when the newly-formed Richmond VFL team entered the VFL and hosted home games at the venue. While the record crowd at Punt Road Oval was around 46,000 in 1949, these days it only holds approximately 5,000 fans.
