Sunnyside: An Art Experience

Sunnyside is a brand new art experience in Ballarat which is bold vibrant and wonderfully fantastical.

Sunnyside is big, bold and wonderfully fantastical, featuring renowned UK artist Morag Myerscough.

The inaugural edition welcomes internationally acclaimed UK artist Morag Myerscough to transform Ballarat's creative heart into a fantastical new nature-inspired work Chasing Sunbeams.

This exhibition will be displayed at the historic Ballarat Mining Exchange Building and will then extend into a wandering through surrounding laneways and spaces.

A celebration of art imagination and place co-created with the community.

There are a range of events during Sunnyside including an opening night art experience and workshops plus a free program of wandering and talks. Curiosity leads the way.

CHASING SUNBEAMS art experience by Morag Myerscough
Co-created with Ballarat's community, explore Morag Myerscough's fantastical installation, Chasing Sunbeams. The site-specific work invites curiosity, connection, and creative play that mirrors the simple beauty of nature chasing the sun.

Opening Night
Be amongst the first to experience CHASING SUNBEAMS by Morag Myerscough at the exclusive opening night of Sunnyside, with fantastical sights, sips, and bites.

Wandering
Bursting with colour and energy, wander nearby laneways, nooks and crannies and discover.

COLOUR and STORYTELLING with Murrup Art
Sunday 16 November - Explore colour, pattern, and storytelling with Jenna Oldaker of Murrup Art, including exclusive access to Chasing Sunbeams.

GRANNY SQUARES by The Granny Square Lady
Saturday 22 November - Join Pauline O'Shannessy-Dowling, the Granny Square Lady, for a fun-filled stitching session with exclusive Chasing Sunbeams access.

CHATTERBOXES by Pauline O'Shannessy-Dowling
Saturday 8 November - Fold, twist, colour, and play with words, patterns with artist Pauline O'Shannessy-Dowling. You'll also have exclusive access to 'Chasing Sunbeams'.

NEON BLOCK PRINTING by Pittywitty
Saturday 15 November - Pittywitty revives 80s-inspired neon block printing, providing tools, guidance and fun for all. You'll also have exclusive access to 'Chasing Sunbeams'.

Join us for a vibrant talk with feature artist Morag Myerscough, exploring her bold, joyful approach to inspiring community with colour. Spaces are limited!
