Principal, Sharon Lawrence enjoyed a professional career in Musical Theatre before realising her true passion was to teach.
Sharon has over 36 years experience teaching students who have got their start at SLD. Successful students have gone on to work professionally here and overseas and many ex students working in the industry, come back to the studio to pass their knowledge on to the new generation of SLD students.
Whether it is to professionally train for a career in dance, team work involvement, compete in solo work, or learn for fun and fitness, quality training is assured for every level. SLD compete at the C.S.T.D Competitions, Starstruck Competitions and appear in an annual Showcase, sit examinations for Classical Ballet (R.A.D. syllabus), and appear in an annual Musical Theatre studio display.
Our fully equipped studios include, sprung floors, ballet barres, mirrors, ducted cooling and heating, kitchenettes, microwave facility, student's dressing rooms with lockers, ambient toilets and boys locker room.
