Melbourne's Floating Sauna Brings Hot-Cold Wellness to Docklands

Melbourne's Floating Sauna Brings Hot-Cold Wellness to Docklands
Melburnians can embrace winter in a unique new way with the arrival of Sauna Boat Melbourne, a floating sauna and ice bath experience now welcoming guests at Victoria Harbour in Docklands.

Moored on the waterfront just minutes from Melbourne's CBD, the custom-built sauna boat combines traditional contrast therapy with sweeping views of the city skyline.

Guests can warm up in an 80-degree timber-lined sauna before cooling down in one of the onboard ice baths, creating a wellness ritual designed to leave participants feeling refreshed, energised and relaxed.

Inspired by the original Sauna Boat Tasmania experience at Oyster Cove Marina, the Melbourne venture brings the increasingly popular practice of hot-cold therapy to the heart of the city. The experience encourages guests to move between heat and cold while taking in uninterrupted harbour views from the deck.

Founder and boat builder Daniel Bush said Sauna Boat Melbourne was designed to offer a simple yet powerful opportunity to pause and reset.

"In the rush of everyday life, we often forget to slow down. Sauna Boat Melbourne invites you to do just that - sweat, plunge, breathe. It's wellness made simple, on the water, in the heart of it all," Bush said.

A Unique Wellness Experience on the Water

The floating sanctuary has been designed to balance relaxation, connection and wellbeing. Large windows frame the surrounding harbour, while the warm timber interiors create a calming environment away from the pace of city life.

Guests can alternate between the sauna and ice baths, with plunge temperatures ranging from a refreshing Victorian-style 14 degrees through to a more challenging 10-degree "Tasmanian" experience for those seeking an extra thrill.

The concept combines the proven appeal of contrast therapy with a distinctive urban waterfront setting, offering an experience unlike anything else currently available in Melbourne.

Whether visiting solo, as a couple or with friends, Sauna Boat Melbourne provides a memorable way to unwind while enjoying one of the city's most scenic waterfront locations.

Private and Shared Sessions Available

Visitors can choose between private bookings and shared sessions.

Shared sessions allow up to four guests to enjoy the experience together, creating an opportunity to meet fellow wellness enthusiasts while enjoying the sauna and cold-plunge facilities.

Private sessions offer exclusive use of the sauna boat for groups of up to five people, complete with assistance from a dedicated Sauna Master.

Operating year-round, Sauna Boat Melbourne is expected to become a popular destination throughout winter while continuing to offer a unique waterfront wellness experience during spring, summer and autumn.
