SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia Inc) was launched in Karratha in February 2003 as a not for profit organisation which has now grown into a successful multi faceted animal welfare organisation. Our Mission To ensure that no companion animal succumbs to euthanasia purely through lack of somewhere to stay and that optimum quality of life is achieved for all companion animals. Sue Hedley Founder The Cats and Dogs of the Pilbara and beyond have much to be grateful for that I worked for the Australian Bureau of Statistics travelling all over the NorthWest of Western Australia interveiwing in peoples homes for a number of years. This is where I discovered the enormous amount of cats and dogs who were homeless and in need of somewhere to stay before a permanent home could be found.
