Country Racing at Hanging Rock, it's our racing and it's yours too, the moment you arrive.
Shuttle Bus Information
- Cost: $5.00 pp return trip. Cash Only
- Children are FREE
- No bookings required.
- Shuttle departs Woodend Station from 10.45am to approx. 1pm.
- Return Service departs Hanging Rock Reserve from 4pm to 45 minutes after the last. Please ensure you arrive well before the last departure time to ensure you have transport home!
- Departure is near the Horse Float Car Park.
- No bookings required.
Food & Alcohol
- You are permitted to BYO Food. No glass containers or sharp objects.
- No personal BBQs are permitted.
- No BYO alcohol is permitted, security points operate at the entrances to the racecourse precincts.

70kms (approx. 1 hour travel time)
By Car from Melbourne
Take the Calder Freeway to Woodend, and then following the signs to Hanging Rock. Or take the Tullamarine Freeway to Romsey and turn left into Woodend Road.
By Train
From Southern Cross, take the train to Woodend Station and take the bus to the racecourse. Shuttle bus cost $5 return trip. Please refer to individual event days to see a copy of the Shuttle bus timetable.
