Prahran Square is the $60+ million transformation of the old Cato Street car park in Prahran into almost 10,000m of multifunctional urban parkland with over 500 spaces of underground car parking. It is one of the largest, most ambitious and exciting construction projects ever delivered in the City of Stonnington. Prahran Square is an iconic cultural and recreational destination for residents, businesses, shoppers and visitors to Stonnington, with spaces for quiet contemplation or vibrant community events. Stonnington Services and Visitor Hub A friendly staff member will greet you and advise the estimated waiting time. Covered areas and seating are available inside the hub. Visit the Stonnington Council Customer Service and Visitor Hub and speak to our Customer Service team for Council advice and assistance, including: payments; lodgement of applications and permits; parking permits; service and maintenance requests; reporting an issue; and recycling of household batteries, mobile phones and CDs. Public Art at Prahran Square Prahran Square is home to three significant public art installations Experience stunning works from acclaimed artists Bruce Ramus, Jamie North and Dr. Fiona Foley. Bruce Ramus: The Pipes At the thresholds to Prahran Square, The Pipes is an invitation to experience an expansive clearing. Jamie North: Ring Form 1&2 Ringform 1&2 are ‘living’ sculptures, which represent the artist’s deep interest in the intersection of the natural world and the man-made. Dr. Fiona Foley: murnalong murnalong celebrates bees for their significance in our global ecosystem. Parking Prahran Square has a 500-bay car park facility located directly below the parkland. The car park is open 24 hours and entry is via Izett Street.
