The Office of Knowledge Capital aims to develop and promote Melbourne as Australia's Knowledge Capital.
Strategic objectives
Develop and promote Melbourne locally, nationally and globally to achieve recognition as 'Australia's Knowledge Capital' and a 'Global University City'.
Facilitate collaboration across and between the university sector with governments, infustries and communities.
Form links with similar 'knowledge cities' to enable mutually beneficial interactions.

Structure
The Office of Knowledge Capital is owned and operated by the Melbourne City Council on behalf of and in conjunction with its partner universities and organisations.
Knowledge Capital Steering Committee (KCSC)
The purpose of the KCSC is to enable partner organisations to regularly steer, guide and advise the management and activities of the OKC in order to deliver achievement against a strategic plan as adopted by the MVCF.
