New Year's Eve at Footscray Park 2026
Celebrate New Year's Eve with family and friends at the City of Maribyrnong's annual fireworks spectacular, held at Footscray Park on the Western Lawn!
Enjoy a relaxed evening as the sun sets and the fireworks dazzle the sky at 9:30 pm, perfect for families looking to celebrate early and avoid the big city crowds.
Pack a picnic or grab a bite from one of the many food trucks on-site.
Don't forget to bring a refillable water bottle, as this is a single-use plastic-free event.
We encourage everyone to bring reusable containers to help minimize environmental impact.
Important Information for Attendees
Alcohol-Free Event: This is an alcohol-free event.
Getting Here: We encourage attendees to use public transport, as there is no public parking on site. Accessible parking is available via Maribyrnong Boulevard up until 9.30pm.
Shuttle Service: Free shuttle buses will run between Footscray Train Station and Ballarat Road from 5.00pm - 11.00pm.
Pets: For the safety and comfort of all, please leave pets at home, as fireworks are distressing to them.
Weather: This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for all weather conditions.
Insects: We recommend bringing mosquito repellent.
Lost Kids: Lost kids wristbands are available at our Lost Kids tent - come and say hi!
