Get to know Melbourne like a local with a local as you explore Melbourne's history iconic laneways, arcades, street art and landmarks.

Tours operate on a 'pay what you think it's worth' basis so anyone can join. No booking needed!

Your friendly and knowledgeable Melbourne tour guide will give you insights into the people, places and events of this city.

From the State Library we will explore Melbourne's beginnings and development from its founding in 1835 right up to the major developments that have made Melbourne the world city that it is today. We'll also cover things to see and do, the lane ways, art, cafe culture and hidden bars so you can experience Melbourne like a local, especially those that are free, to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Join us EVERY DAY at 10:30am and 2:30pm at the statue of Sir Redmond Barry in front of the State Library of Victoria.

HOW ARE WE FREE?
We want everyone whatever their budget to enjoy Melbourne as much as we do. For this reason we don't charge up front, instead we leave it to you to decide what you thought the tour was worth at the end.

GROUPS:
If you are a group of 10 or more. Please register with us at least 24 hours in advance. To maintain the quality of our regularly scheduled tours we will have to organise you a separate private tour. I'm Free Tours reserves the right to deny participation of any group.
