Only 7kms from Melbourne CBD, and 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport, Melbourne Showgrounds is conveniently located and easily accessible for exhibitors, staff and attendees.

Public Transport

In addition to car parking on site for up to 2,000 vehicles, Melbourne Showgrounds is also well serviced by public transport, including trams, buses and trains. [map]

Bus No. 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds) stops along Langs Road and Epsom Road.

Tram No. 57 leaves Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, and travels along Epsom Road to the Main Gate.

Trains - Melbourne Showgrounds has its own train station, but trains only operate for selected events. Event organisers are responsible for trains and if trains are running for an event, it will be noted on the Melbourne Showgrounds web site for that event.

Car Parking | Melbourne Showgrounds car park can cater for up to 2,000 vehicles depending on the event. Additional car parking facilities may also be available at Flemington Racecourse subject to availability.


Melbourne Showgrounds are managed by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) who have been has been inspiring excellence for over 160 years with events like the Royal Melbourne Show but the showgrounds themselves are not royal.
